There’s an Outside Broadcast as Ambridge contingent attends the Countryside Rally in Hyde Park (including real recordings taken at the event). The colours are nailed firmly to the mast relating to the fox hunting and country sports issue as phrases like “closed urban minds” are bandied around.
Pat’s in a good mood, she’s pleased that Tony’s coming around to the dairy idea – even it is just to salvage something from the great plans they had, she’s also pleased that they’re getting on much better these days.
The rehearsal was sparsely attended, Eddie was reading Lysander – which continues to please Hayley. Larry appears to and is told, in no uncertain terms, that he cannot play Lysander, Theseus is as good as it gets!
Clarrie’s concerned that Eddie’s returning to his old ways as there’s talk second hand cars – which we know is for Clive, and now so does she as he arrives at Grange Farm. Eddie defends his decision to help him and is as obviously unhappy at the situation as Clarrie is.
