Nigel and Lizzie are starting to calm down, although when Lizzie makes a comment about Caroline and Nigel defends by citing a need for friendly relations with a potential benefic, Lizzie asks him to think that of Hugh, too. Later, Lizzie is late for lunch (with Nigel and Caroline) because Hugh’s been on the phone and asked her to run another course – Nigel is not pleased.
Clarrie is still stuffing envelopes, William helped last night and she’s taken a morning’s holiday to do more. Joe comes in and offers to help, rejecting her advice and setting up his own ‘system’.
Roy mentions to Caroline about Lynda’s attitude to him, that she’s not his boss, and he manages to make Caroline feel old with his talk of Valentine’s Day and her not needing that rubbish any more …..
Eddie’s picked up the milking bail and has sworn Joe to secrecy about David’s involvement.
Joe’s system failed dismally, Clarrie spent half an hour mending his mistakes and there’s a whole pile of underwear catalogues gone missing. Joe protests his innocence …..
