• Shula, Alistair and Daniel are having a picnic – although her mind is most definitely somewhere else, she polite declines his invitation to watch the World Cup Final with him in The Bull.
• Jill’s finalising the fete arrangements and she’s more than a little concerned at Eddie’s gut-barging competition – which is proving popular, even at £5 per entry (half to go as a prize to the winner, it seems). He’s even got Nigel signed up!
• Having the TV on in the Bull is proving a popular draw, although Alistair’s not in the best of moods. Sid’s happy with the numbers, although he’s still griping about Sean’s captaincy of the cricket team, which lost again yesterday.
