• David’s got a buyer for the big red tractor and while, for him, it’s a reminder of a different world – of estate contracts, high grain prices and subsidies – Tony’s not so sure that the good times will ever return. It’s the Cricket Club dinner tonight, although Tony’s not sure whether to attend.
• Mike and Roy are transferring Uncle Tom’s greenhouse into Mrs Antrobus’ garden, although Mike’s not happy to learn that the price he paid Tom was a little over the market price for used greenhouses!
• Sid learns that Sean’s involved with Mrs Antrobus’ idea for a millenium nursery and he’s not pleased and gets very indiginant and almost petty, until Marjorie deflates him by saying that Sean’s involved because they’re dedicating an oak tree to John at the Club dinner and that the trees will be planted in the churchyard.
