Characters: Alistair, Caroline, Graham, Neil, Pat, Shula, Sid, Tommy

• Tommy and Neil are dealing with the next pig delivery. Tommy is convinced that John’s business is worth continuing, even giving up college for. Pat’s trying to wrap him up in cotton wool and when he and Neil pop into The Bull for a quick drink after work she flies of the handle. She can see this might drive him away, but she can’t seem to help herself.
• Alistair arrives the ten-pin bowling – although absent-mindedly forgets to tell Caroline that Graham will be there until they’re actually there. No matter because they seem to be getting on well again.
• Sid’s got another vision for the pub – back to basics – concentrate on being a traditional village pub.
