- Phil can’t believe that Simon is serious with his threats, meanwhile David is just indignant. He’s sure that Simon’s couldn’t prove incompetence, but even them getting the twelve months’ notice would leave them financially exposed. David thinks that they’ve no alternative but to sue if the question of competence comes up, Phil hopes it doen’t get that far.
- Tony’s getting fed up with Pat’s hygience kick, made worse as the Underwoods rep criticising what Tony calls ‘a bit of honest muck’.
- Caroline’s remembering Guy as she visits his grave with Nigel. She gets tearful as she remembers their happiness. They stop off in Cambridge for lunch as she returns the shoulder to lean on and Nigel spills the beans that he’s afraid that Lizzie is having an affair with Hugh and he couldn’t face that news.
- George is trying to ring Jack, William’s reported bad things with the birds. Later he manages to get through and while Jack assures him that everything was fine, George is convinced that he’s being lied to.
