  • Lynda’s Shakespeare posters and ideas are proving popular – although she’s not really thought much about them! She knows people will need schooling in the ways of the Bard, only not exactly what as yet! Sid’s offered The Bull’s garden as a venue (for which idea Robert reads revenue motives) and Caroline suggests Grey Gables for a picnic on the lawn type affair.
  • Bert’s been slacking as the Laws of cricket interfere with his work.
  • News on Nigel drifts in. Apparently the boat was carrying duty free tobacco and while it was (presumably) nothing to do with him it will take time to convince the Spanish police that.
  • Ruth’s still down on Phil, although she’s starting to see the situation from different perspectives.
  • Bert thinks that the play’s text needs a little abridging, maybe into modern verse! Lynda mocks his doggerel and is shocked at the suggestion.
  • Sean and David are worried about the single wicket, as a mass entry by the Penny Hassett team makes them seem dead set on making themselves a nuisance.
  • Sean asks David after Debbie? Did she really fall off a horse? Robert’s been out jobhunting and has a copy of Coventry’s Evening paper. There’s a small article about Simon’s courtcase and how he’s charged with assault, not the expected fraud. Sean’s adding two to two and David’s curious, angry and worried that everyone else will also make the same four soon ……
