- News of Simon’s case is rife and more than a few people have leapt to the Debbie conclusion.
- Pat’s deal with the hotel chain is in doubt, apparently the chain’s owner wasn’t so keen on the farm and would be more keen if the yoghurt was prepared in less hygienically ambiguious surroundings. This spurs Pat to thinking about the business units and Tony’s less than happy with that idea rearing its head again.
- Sid’s gravel for the Boules has arrived – only when it’s dumped in the car park it turns out to be an erroneous delivery of quick-drying cement. Which dried quickly into an immovable and unpopular lump!
- Betty is told by a worried Susan that Clive’s got parole and is likely to be heading back to Ambridge upon his release in a few weeks’ time.
- Joe’s looking forward to his elevation into the land-owning class and has grand plans for Grange Farm, including selling off bits, and is boring anyone who’ll listen.
