Characters: Caroline, David, Jill, Joe, Lynda, Ruth, Susan
- Ruth’s home already, with the as yet unnamed infant. A seemingly never ending stream of well-wishers visit the bungalow. The search for a name has started, they are initially worried, unfounded eventually, that Ruth’s father might seek his name to be continued, but Solly or Solomon, is not needed. Lynda suggests Robert, some suggest David junior, while Pip thinks Wrinkles appropriate!
- As is obligatory the child is compared to Winston Churchill, though the baby snaps of a young David point to stronger evidence of paternity!
- Lynda mentions to Susan that she’s had a visit from the boys in blue and confirmed Clive’s alibi, while Susan was happy to admit Clive probably having in part in the robberies, this pleased her.
- Caroline’s had a meeting with a forlorn Sid, who’s losing the battle with the Cat.
- William is still down in the dumps about Ginger Spice, whose demise it transpires was down to eating a ring pull from a discarded can. Joe’s got a plan to go to Jersey to buy him the genuine article. Caroline thinks this a great plan and offers to subsidise the venture.
