Characters: Brian, Debbie, George, Jack, Jennifer, Peggy, Simon

• Jack’s got word from Alistair about the ill birds and has a treatment. He tells George, but it seems that George predicted this and had already started the birds on a treatment, albeit with a different remedy. Jack is incensed and seems to sack George, who isn’t apologetic calling him an ignoprant Brummie playing the country gent!
• Brian and Jennifer discover a badly bruised Debbie. Initially she claims to have fallen from her horse. Jennifer wonders whether Simon had visited (as she thought he might) and why he didn’t take her to hospital. At the mention of his name Debbie erupts into floods of tears.
• Further discussions and Jennifer starts to add 2 to 2. Brian asks her and, eventually, she tells them – but doesn’t want the police involved. They’re surprised that it might have been Simon but Jennifer and Brian go to confront him.
• After angry words, a small scuffle and a death threat from Brian, Simon denies everything and angrily drives off.
