• Kate’s helping out at the Pick Your Own, although some friends of hers decide to have a strawberry fight just as Roy returns, the resulting argument prompts a split which, when later talking to their respective parents, neither is too surprised about nor inclined to patch things up.
• The Home Farm fishing lake has won an environmental award, which Brian feels will please Debbie.
• The Pick Your Own, which had been doing very well, is suffering under the onslaught of a heavy downpour and the bright future dims slightly.
• Brian’s asking Jennifer about Peggy’s input in Tony’s Bridge Farm decision and is wondering about why he should want to forego his tenancy. He says nothing but is being slightly shifty.
• Ruth and Jill are still trying to keep Phil and David’s opposing views from evolving into anything more serious. David’s mood won’t improve when he hears that there’s a rumour that an offer has been made on the estate land which they farm.
