  • The new combine, a veritable “cathedral to agriculture” has arrived at Home Farm and Debbie can’t wait to get behind the wheel.
  • William’s playing up a little. Apparently Clarrie’s got two tickets for the England-Columbia World Cup match ** from her Meyruel friends and she’s said that she’ll not go in favour of the two boys, only William’s sulking because he’d rather go with a friend than his brother!
  • Brian and Debbie discuss Greg’s request that a particularly good bit of sheep grazing land is turned to arable to aid the shoot. Brian claims he’s acting as Solomon as his two managers have reached an impasse and decides that Greg’s request be acceded to. Debbie’s not pleased even though Brian still claims that the farm is their first priority.
