Characters: Bert, Betty, Joe, John, Lizzie, Lynda, Phil
- Lynda’s drumming up trade for her first workshop, which doesn’t go well, people are keen (to a point), but aren’t quite with her examples of rhythm and reasoning, the Iambic Pentameter rather passes Joe and Bert by. Jill is a help, but Lynda gives up as the sound of pneumatic drills on The Bull’s pile of concrete drowns out the study of the Bard.
- John’s hit a gatepost, Bert gloats and Phil gets to moan at him in addition to not appreciating David calling his careful work slow.
- Lizzie is putting a brave face on Nigel’s return, but Jill’s concerned about her children, in addition to Lizzie and David, she’s worried about Simon’s case and what might have happened when he was seeing Shula.
