Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Hayley, Joe, John, Roy

• Clarrie finds Joe sharpening his axe in the kitchen and has a go at him.
• Hayley and Roy are still conniving about John’s party tomorrow. This seems to involve Hayley fantasising about John’s bottom. Unfortunately, two of John’s friends have pulled out of the plan, leaving two empty seats in the minibus.
• Clarrie is in tears over how she reacted to Joe earlier, and is comforted by Eddie, who is determined not to let Simon throw them out. He plans to take Clarrie and Joe out for the night tomorrow, and get John to cover feeding the pigs.
• When Hayley rings to confirm the minibus for tomorrow, she finds that they have no record of the booking, and don’t have a minibus spare. She decides to ring round various firms tomorrow. Roy and Hayley stumble across John in the Bull, and put up a very unconvincing act of not conspiring with each other.
