- Phil’s worried about his conducting debut (specifically, how to deal with the cannons) but Jill reassures him that the orchestra are used to less experienced people weilding the stick.
- The PYO is seeing good business, although Mike’s less than impressed to see that Neil’s been leaving it in Tracy’s (Susan’s sister) hands, but Neil points out that Mike could be pulling his weight a bit more ….
- Betty suggests to Kate (with Susan weighing in) that she might want to fix a date, but Kate is finding most things hasslesome at the moment and, anyway, she’s preparing for the arrival of Morwenna, her birthing partner. She does go to see Peggy though, but Morwenna arrives just as she’s about to reveal her decision.
- In an unlikely turn of events The Bull hosts a Boules and Barbecue, football-free evening on the day of England’s seoncd match. As some of the women drag their men and children away from their patriotic places in front of the TV some of them manage drift back to the tube. Ostensibly to retrieve Christopher and friends who have wandered home, Neil needs Mike’s help to fetch a group of 10-year-olds …..
