Sid and Kathy (although more the latter it transpires) haven’t learned and have scheduled another Boules night to clash with England’s last group game, Neil and Eddie convince Sid that letting them watch upstairs means that they see the game and he keeps their custom. Of course, he has to act as waiter ….
Mike and Neil are discussing the PYO as Mike makes the reasonable point that if they’re paying Tracy to tend the till and that Mike is also helping, but Neil is off earning money, if Mike’s only payout is from the profits (which pay Tracy) then he should be paid too. Neil’s not convinced and they agree that he will try and make up some hours too.
Shula convinces Caroline that Alistair and she still have a future, and while Alistair obviously has a lot of time for Daniel (as the three of them settle down to watch the football), she accepts his offer of going to the theatre tomorrow with the understanding that it’s not just for Daniel that she’s making more of an effort.
