• John steers his tractor into a ditch while talking to Sharon on his mobile. Tending to his wounds Hayley says she’s worried about Uncle Tom’s ability to look after himself, so John suggests she pop round to make sure he’s OK (while he rings Sharon again to cancel the evenings rendezvous)
• Pat has written a letter to the leader of the hunt, Tony suggests they tone it down, especially the bit about allowing access to the hunt as long as they can alert other interested parties, e.g. hunt sabs, when the hunt is on
• John and Hayley go to Kate’s birthday party, along with Jennifer who is fascinated by all the protestors and Roy who is suspicious about the real reason for John’s little accident. Just as the party is starting to swing, however, the police arrive.
