Characters: Alistair, Debbie, Hayley, Neil, Shula, Susan, Tony
- Neil’s looking forward to a day’s hard graft, a break from being the heavy-handed feed rep. Although Susan’s keen to point out that that’s one of the side-effects of management, the prospect of proper work putting out John’s pigs and their arcs isn’t diminished by Susan’s almost snobbish dismissal of manual labour or having Hayley as an assistant.
- Daniel’s still under the weather and his grizzly demeanour convinces Shula and Alistair to abandon plans for the cinema.
- The coroner’s office called Tony to discuss John’s mood on the day of the accident and will probably want to talk to Hayley ahead of next week’s inquest.
- Neil and Hayley are struggling to get things done, or rather, Hayley is willing but the ability is not what it could be. Tony is busy but lends a hand, which means that he misses his duty watching over Sawyer’s Farm which, of course, coincides with the visit of the planning committee – Lynda was not pleased. Eventually all the pigs are out and, while Susan isn’t amused because Neil is late, Hayley is enthused with the whole business.
