Characters: Alistair, Betty, Neil, Phil, Sean, Shula, Susan
- Neil’s still a bit touchy on Mike’s nabbing of the Bridge Farm work and is concerned that, ahead of the start of the Pick Your Own season, Mike isn’t pulling his weight, but Betty allays some of his fears.
- The shop continues to be under Kate’s influence with Tofu burgers and New Age music (which Sean likened to whales being strangled). Betty’s nervous of upsetting her as she’s the boss’ step-grand-daughter and because she’s 34 weeks pregnant.
- Sean’s worries were confirmed as the pitch was a last minute affair and played abysmally (and Ambridge lost).
- Shula’s having men problems; Daniel’s determined to spray his medicine around his walls rather than his insides and Alistair’s being supportive but not appreciated. He declines Phil and Jill’s invitation to Whitsun tea, but Phil thought that it was the kind of refusal that was begging to be convinced otherwise. Shula, though, is only concerned with Daniel.
