Robert is going to build a repro Globe Theatre for a real Elizabethan Christmas.
Radio Times: There is a surprise arrival at Lynda’s auditions. Meanwhile, Kathy needs advice.
Characters: Fallon, Jim, Kathy, Lynda, Mike, Rhys, Robert- Lynda is looking short for her auditions but it sounds as if Iftikar might turn up. That would add something to the occasion. But at least Jim turns up. Only to offer apologies it seems though Lynda won’t let him go.
- Kathy goes to see Mike to discuss Jamie. She doesn’t know what to do for the best. It’s obvious Jamie hates college and he isn’t doing well. Mike tells her he is interested and enthusiastic in tree work and thinks he could do a degree later, or get other qualifications. Not all children are academic.
- Rhys and Fallon make a great couple in the auditions. But Lynda feels deserted by the rest of her regulars. And even Neil doesn’t want to help out back stage this year. They retire home to lick their wounds. And then Robert has the idea that they should do a Shakespeare compilation. Some people wouldn’t need to learn their lines. They could do a real Elizabethan Christmas. Robert even promises a reproduction Globe.
- Rhys and Fallon appear to be stuttering towards the inevitable relationship with Fallon asking him in for a coffee and him promising to turn up for the pub quiz.
