Lynda and Lilian learn that Leonie is here for the duration.
Radio Times: Lynda holds a tense rehearsal, and Neil and Susan ponder their finances.
Characters: David, Josh, Neil, Ruth, Susan- It would be a shame to miss an opportunity to tease David and his decision to stand for the NFU County chair is too good to miss; but Ruth is just teasing and is actually quite happy for him to try for it. More immediately, Ruth is heading for the Village Hall to rehearse the three witches. Apparently Pip has turned David down over helping to prepare for the Prime-stock Show; Josh is not slow to offer to help in her place … and hence go to the show – nice try, Josh.
- Susan is going to visit Emma and presses Neil for a decision on how much they can afford to help Emma and Ed. They agree on £40 a week, though they will have to economise themselves; for a start they can cancel the TV sport subscription.
- As Lilian heads for the rehearsal, Leonie establishes that she and James have the house to themselves. Lilian wonders whether they are missing her at work.
- What does the best-dressed witch wear? Lynda obviously has different ideas from Ruth. Lynda and Lilian find the time to disagree over their respective offspring and over who should tackle who about how long Leonie is staying in Ambridge.
- Back home, Lynda finds Leonie newly returned from the Dower House; Matt came back early. She tackles Leonie about how long she is staying and learns that she is taking unpaid leave and will be around for as long as it takes. So don’t worry Lynda!
