Jazzer buys a tractor. Pip continues on her irresponsible way.

Radio Times: Pip asserts her independence, and Jazzer uses his initiative.

• What’s that electric fence for missus? You never bothered before! Joe is out for a walk and is embarrassingly curious about the changes Lynda has introduced for her remaining llamas.
• Jazzer phones Mrs James to tell her that his farmer-friend has ‘talked him into’ buying her tractor; he can only offer £250.
• Pip seems to have had an attack of conscience; she apologises to Tom about leaving him in the lurch last week. It won’t happen again; she will be 100% reliable, even 110%. Tom seems a bit down and reveals that for his birthday yesterday, the customary meal cooked by mum was not forthcoming – a rather petty response to a disagreement. Tom’s mood is reflected in his own response when Jazzer asks for an hour off – also rather petty.
• Ed is not best pleased when Jazzer informs him that he has bought the tractor. He thinks the money is not enough and Jazzer should have waited until he had made his mind up. Jazzer can’t see the problem.
• Pip and Spencer have had a good night out, although Spencer being conscientious and having an early start tomorrow it’s not a late one. Nevertheless Pip seems well oiled, in which state she thinks it unwise to text her parents as Spencer suggests. Anyway she is trying to wean them off monitoring her every move; if she were away at university they would not be able to keep such a close eye on her. It is time they started treating her like an adult. Will this 110% reliable adult be up early in the morning to do her university assignment? No, she’ll wing it.
