  • Oliver continues to pull his weight at Grey Gables, and receives a call from Kathy asking for a raffle prize for the film night. Oliver agrees to donate a day pass for the health club.
  • Kathy’s call does not go unnoticed by Martyn Gibson, who is sarcastic and aggressive as grills Kathy about falling revenue at the Golf Club restaurant. Kathy stands her ground and answers all his complaints, but Martyn becomes increasingly high-handed. He does not want explanations; he wants proposals for a way forward.
  • While Caroline’s attack of Shingles is lessening in intensity, her boredom levels are rising. Even a visit from Lynda is welcome, though Lynda refuses to tell her any Grey Gables gossip. Oliver arrives home, and a horrified Lynda rushes back to run the hotel.
  • Helen’s encounter with Rob has left her confused and uncertain. She delivers cheese to Grey Gables, but rushes off as quickly as she can. She then surprises Kirsty by calling at the shop on a day when she is not expected. Helen puts the closed sign up at lunch time and tells Kirsty she must talk to her. Sworn to secrecy, Kirsty listens in amazement as Helen tells her how she and Rob ended up in bed last night. Helen never meant it to happen, and now she knows she must keep her distance and let things cool down.
