  • As David and Ruth check the cows, they are surprised to see Pip home. Apparently she has missed home as well as Spencer while she has been away milking. She tells David all about the state-of-the art milking parlour and how quickly it can milk four hundred cows. Parental pride (and some jealousy) flows in bucketsful as Ruth and David exclaim at the wonderful way Pip is coping.
  • Jolene updates Fallon on wedding plans. Since she will not be able to refuse Meriel her role as bridesmaid in a purple dress (picture supplied by Meriel), Jolene thinks she should have Fallon as chief bridesmaid. Fallon has a better idea; she will be best woman and might even wear a tux. That will mean asking Lily to be a bridesmaid, and that in turn will mean asking Freddie to be a page-boy. The wedding is getting bigger by the minute.
  • While Helen and Henry are playing, Helen’s phone rings. Rob wants her to come over straight away. Depositing Henry somewhere, Helen rushes over to an angry and upset Rob. He and Jess have had a huge row. Jess is being utterly unreasonable in refusing to give up the job she loves, to leave her ailing father, to have children she doesn’t want and most of all, to do exactly what Rob tells her. Helen oozes sympathy and, of course, it all ends in a kiss (and maybe more…)
