Helen is avoiding village life to avoid Rob. Caroline still won’t let go of any control at Grey Gables.

Radio Times: Caroline is on the mend and Neil does a favour for Kathy.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Emma isn’t going to church; she’s still clearly fed up with George’s obsession. She’s also fed up that they can’t get away for her birthday. It’s partly the money but it’s also that it isn’t the same living with her parents. And Oliver is already going to have to do the milking next week when Ed is vaccinating badgers. Ian appears and invites Helen over for supper which she accepts but Emma tries to encourage her to get back on the dating circuit.
  • Caroline is still desperately trying to get back into the office and Oliver is getting frustrated with her but finally agrees they can eat lunch in the restaurant but she isn’t to sneak into the office.
  • Kathy needs help with the film night since Martyn has asked for yet another meeting. Neil agrees to do the trip to the cash and carry. Neil is happy to go and says that there is more good news for the organ fund. Shula has managed to get the Cathedral choir and a cellist from the Cathedral school to agree to a free concert at St Stephens.
  • Caroline will not let things go even at lunch and is constantly fussing the staff. They do talk a bit about a holiday – possibly in Boston but she won’t commit. Oliver actually tries to walk out but Ian arrives in the nick of time. Caroline says she will be back at work full time tomorrow.
  • Helen and Kathy talk about the film night and while Helen seems keen initially, becomes less so once she hears Rob will be there.
