Johnny is learning about love.
Radio Times: It is bonfire night on the Jubilee Field, and Lynda has got plans.
Characters: David, Johnny, Kenton, Pat, Robert, Susan, Tony- Melanie isn’t coming to the bonfire anymore so Tony and Pat want to get on with loading up the veg boxes when Johnny gets a text and storms off. It turns out that Melanie doesn’t have a family do – she is meeting Kens. Tony decides to tackle Johnny about it – he doesn’t want what happened with John to happen again.
- Kenton and Robert are planning the fireworks though Robert is a bit sceptical about some of the fireworks. Kenton isn’t keen on setting them off in Jubilee Field either. He’s also heard that the shoot didn’t go well yesterday. Robert tells Kenton that Lynda is planning on Blythe Spirit with Caroline and Oliver as the Doctor and his wife. She’d hoped to persuade Elizabeth but she says she is too busy.
- David appears at the fireworks with petitions about Route B. Kenton is surprised he’s bothered now he’s thrown in the towel.
- Susan tells Robert that she has been asked to be Edith in Blythe Spirit. Susan thinks it’s like Lady Mary. Robert is a bit unsure. Susan finds out she is to be the maid, but somehow Lynda has managed to convince her that it is the most important part in the whole play.
- Tony and Johnny have a heart to heart about Melanie. He says he made terrible mistake when he was dating and John did too. It might have been easier for Melanie not to say. Johnny has to get used to it. That’s how it is. He persuades Johnny to go to the fireworks. They go but Pat decides to have a strop about the fireworks being sponsored by BL.
- Tony and Pat tell David how hard it is to imagine Brookfield without David but David says it’s about Heather too. Meanwhile, Johnny goes off to talk to another girl.
