The Grundys pardon a turkey and Tom finally arrives home.

Radio Times: The Grundys pardon a turkey, and there is an unexpected arrival.

Characters: Carol, Eddie, Fallon, Helen, Joe, Johnny, Susan, Tom

• Fallon delivers a table to Carol and in return, Carol whips up a little herbal something for Fallon’s headache.
• Susan invites Helen to come along to the Great Turkey Pardon. Henry would have fun at any rate. Johnny interrupts looking for a bit of dinner but says he doesn’t care for Borchester Blue. Helen gamely offers to cut him something else.
• Eddie ordered a turkey costume but they sent him a costume from Turkey. Carol advises Eddie to think laterally and Eddie changes into a chicken outfit. Joe’s American accent as Uncle Sam is just as authentic.
• Joe tells fortunes by using a magic turkey who answers questions by eating from grain marked yes or no. Henry steps up for his turn and asks if his grandfather will be home for Christmas. The turkey pecks yes and Henry is elated but Helen is distressed. Fallon asks the magic turkey if she will come to regret a particular decision she made. The turkey says yes so perhaps there is hope for the local constable.
• George wants to know what happens to the ‘saved’ turkey. He is upset when Eddie indicates that turkeys are for eating. George wants to take Lucky home and Eddie groans and tells George not to give it a name. Susan quips that there is only one way a turkey is entering their house.
• Tom arrives home from the backwoods of Ontario which seems to have changed his voice and accent completely. Helen is very happy to see him and she sings Rob’s praises as the saviour of Bridge Farm. Tom points out that Rob has his own job.
