  • Charlie’s interruption of Rob’s work is not welcome and Rob feels interrogated when Charlie asks to see some work sheets. He wants to compare some online data with that entered on the original sheets. Helen’s and Henry’s arrival with home-made biscuits is also badly timed, with Charlie looking over his shoulder and he later tells her how unprofessional he was made to look. In future, she should call his phone ahead of any visits to the office.
  • Susan is making plans for the new shop opening and Lynda has organised a dog trainer from Penny Hassett to do the honours. Susan feels that the Boudicca of Borsetshire would be more suited to the role, being more of a celebrity. Lynda takes Susan to task on her suggestion of rolling out the Boudicca, yet again. After all, ‘poor’ Jennifer does need some time away from the spotlight. Susan is excited over the delivery of the tabards. While Susan believes the orange and pink Paisley add a touch of class, Lynda receives an electric shock and static hair from the cheap fabric. Lynda’s incorrectly spelled name badge is the last straw and she later complains to Pat about the lowered tone. Pat diplomatically counters that everyone has the same goal in wanting to see the shop thrive, following the flood.
  • With the work on The Green due to end this week, Pat and Helen discuss how relieved Kenton and Jolene will be with the knock-on effect it’s had on their business. Pat is pleased for Helen and how happy she Rob and Henry are. The gift from Peggy feels like a dowry to Helen who feels as though she really belongs to Rob now. They laugh about some of Helen’s old-fashioned ideas but Pat’s not so amused with the news that Helen will take Rob’s name and also that they will only have a joint bank account, rather than Helen keeping some of her own money separate.
