Rex comes across Toby snogging Pip at Alice’s party. Rex is furious and Pip is horrified Rex didn’t know.

  • Toby and Rex are sorting out the hens before Alice’s birthday bash. Rex had said he wasn’t going but he now thinks he might. Toby tries to convince him that he shouldn’t but still doesn’t tell Rex that he and Pip are together.
  • Adam, Ed and Emma aren’t sure about going to the party either. Ed would rather go home and put his feet up. Then he gets a text from her saying how disappointed she will be if he doesn’t turn up.
  • The party seems to go well with lots of guests. Toby lies to Pip about trying to talk Rex into coming to the party and then he lies about having told Rex about Pip. Alice, for some reason, then gets over excited about Ed’s birthday card to her. Alice is really keen that he meets her new workmates. They hardly ever get to meet real people who work on the land. They will be so interested to meet him.
  • Rex meets up with Adam at the Bull. He still isn’t sure if he is going to the party. It’s not that he is tired, it is more personal reasons.
  • Ed tries to leave the party early but Alice wants him to meet more people. Ed asks if that is why was invited. Alice tries to insist it is because they are friends. Ed says he doesn’t appreciate being a token peasant and he’s off.
  • Rex persuades Adam to go to the party. Alice, a bit drunk, is pleased to see him and Adam is surprised. She apologises and they do make up. Toby and Pip are snogging when Rex walks in and finds them. Pip is horrified to realise Rex didn’t know. Toby says he will sort it. He runs after Rex and says it was all Pip’s fault. She threw himself at him. Rex will never trust Toby again.
