  • Jazzer visits the tea room. Emma says Joe is fussing about the old mangle of Susan’s. They are all going out to celebrate Poppy’s third birthday at the Bull this evening. Then Rob appears so Jazzer makes his excuses. Rob has brought a card and a present for Henry for winning the prize. It was such a special time for the two of them so he wants to give it to Henry in person. He wants Emma to take it to Henry and to bring him to see him. Emma refuses. Rob says they’ve all be taken in by Helen and his web of lies. Emma says she won’t help him break the arrangement but she’ll give the card to Helen. Rob tears the card up in a temper and says she can give that to Helen instead.
  • Josh tells David that Jill is mortified that they still printed the photo in the Echo. David says he is off to test the new mower Josh bought. Josh asks for commission on the sale price but they are distracted by Rex and David goes off before giving an answer.
  • Rex and Josh share thoughts about Toby and Pip. Josh says he isn’t too keen either. Toby is a bit of player and he doesn’t want to see Pip hurt. Rex says he won’t let that happen. He’ll be watching Toby like a hawk.
  • Kenton and Jazzer are discussing cricket when Rob storms into the pub and demands a scotch. Kenton asks if he has something to celebrate. Rob asks what that could be and just demands the drink. Drunk, he tells Kenton that not being able to see Henry is just a sign of the petty vindictiveness he’d expect from Helen, trying to wreck his life. The same with Jack. He tries to get some sympathy by reminding Kenton that his daughter is on the other side of the world. Kenton points out that this is his family Rob is talking about and he doesn’t want to hear it. Rob demands another drink. Kenton says okay but that is his last.
  • David admits to Josh that the mower is a great bit of kit. On the commission, David agrees that Josh has saved them £800 on the top price so David will split the difference and give Josh £400. Josh is thrilled and they go to the Bull to celebrate.
  • Later Rob bumps into Emma going at the Bull where they are celebrating Poppy’s birthday. He wants to buy her a drink, she was happy enough to take his money when she was babysitting. She tells him exactly what she thinks of him and he threatens her – calls her an evil, hypocritical bitch. David, Kenton and Jazzer hear the noise and go to her help but he keeps trying to attack her. They drag him outside and tell him to go home and sober up.
