Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Joe, Phil, Richard, Usha, William
- Clarrie’s feeling better and Eddie’s still cheerful about the speed of the insurance. No lights, although William’s a bit short – until Eddie offers money for help with the pigs.
- Phil’s over to talk to Eddie about the hedge-trimming work, Joe catches him to talk about things, although was interrupted by Neil’s arrival. Phil offers some more weeners if there’s space.
- Richard’s had his meeting with the MDU – a very tough one. He seems to be in the clear on the diagnosis and the treatment and no case over the will. The record keeping is in doubt, especially over the levels of diamorphine, which could be a problem. He didn’t destroy the drugs he took away after Mrs Barraclough’s death. It’s no defence, despite the frequency of it happening.
- Richard comes round and Clarrie’s singing his praises – and he turns down the offer of Joe’s Shepherds Pie – which is what Joe wanted to talk to Phil about! He asks for an omelette demonstration – especially as the pie was awful!
- Richard is unsure whether to tell them about the unused drugs sooner rather than later …
