Characters: Clarrie, Debbie, Eddie, Mike, Simon, Susan

• The new calf is doing well while the rest are having teething problems with the bail. Eddie’s nervious about the possibility of failing the hygiene inspection, Clarrie’s replacement cheque still hasn’t arrived there’s still no-one, who’s not tied to Simon, to be their farming witness.
• No firm bookings for the business units? Simon’s not happy with Susan and she’s not happy with the blame.
• Clarrie’s moaning to Mike about the lack of witnesses. She doesn’t blame Brian but she’s worried about Eddie’s confidence.
• Debbie invites Simon for lunch at the Bull, a bit public as is the scurge of the village! (A mention of his moustache twirling even.) She doesn’t care about the village’s opinions and invites him to a farming event later in the week ….
• Mike discovers the cows, too! Pointing out the obvious, that Simon better not find out! He asks about the farming witness and he’s dropping hints like nobody’s business. Eventually Eddie cottons on and jumps at the offer.
