Characters: Brian, Caroline, David, Debbie, Ruth, Shula, Simon

• Brian teases Caroline about Larry and lets slip his suspicions about Simon and Debbie and she’s surprised!
• Discussions abound after the farm walk and it emerges that Simon and Debbie are going out for dinner that evening.
• Caroline spills the beans to Shula, firstly they laugh about the Larry situation, then Shula isn’t quite so happy to hear about Simon.
• David moans to Ruth about Simon, the fact that he seems to be holding back information and that he and Debbie made him feel like a gooseberry on the farm walk. Ruth’s amused at the idea, but David is shocked because “he’s Simon and she’s, well, Debbie.”
• Simon and Debbie are having dinner (in Leamington) and are discussing fathers and Simon, in his own way, tells of his regrets towards Guy and advises her not to make the same mistakes. She asks if he’s got any coffee at his flat. He hasn’t, but he does have a good brandy ….
• Things progress and Simon let’s slip that he thinks that Brian approves of “us”, Debbie asks if there’s an “us” and one thing leads to another and they kiss.
