Characters: Jill, Kathy, Lynda, Peggy, Phil, Shula, Sid
- Peggy is interesting in a table at the Hassett Room to celebrate Brian and Jennifer’s 21st anniversary, but is put off when Lynda (who’s booked a table for her and Robert to celebrate her 50th birthday) mentions that it’s Oak Apple Day and costumes should be worn. She compounds her faux pas by denegrating The Bull’s garden and its compatibility with her Midsummer Night’s Dream concept ….
- Shula plucks up the courage to tell her parents about her experiences at Simon’s hand. They’re shocked but not particularly surprised. She hopes that Simon will re-think his defence in the light of her statement.
- Peggy tells Tony that she thinks he’s right to want to buy Bridge Farm.
- Tony’s off to The Cat which is meant to be busy as only Lynda and Robert (both in costume) arrive at The Bull ….
