Characters: Bert, Clive, David, Jill, Joe, Lynda, Ruth
- The Brookfield cows still aren’t alright, Ruth’s sure it’s Bert’s fault although David is not convinced and Bert, who knows he’s being watched, is adamant that after more than thirty years he knows how to milk cows.
- Jill’s hens are still not over having their wings clipped and she’s having to buy free range eggs from the shop!
- More problems with rehearsals, Lynda’s worried her lovers are conspiring not to be available, Jill is not happy with Lynda’s comments that her performance with Larry is lacking and Joe and Bert are unhappy at Clive’s involvement – although Clive is very pleased with the opportunity. In her best school ma’am-ish voice, Lynda tells Joe and Bert off for not giving Clive a chance.
- Clive seems to be afraid to open the front door because of “some bird calling for my brother Gary”.
