Characters: David, John, Kate, Lizzie, Lynda, Sean, Sharon
- David is dog tired and John is leaving Tony to deal with Jason as they discussing England’s imminent sixth Test with Australia over a lunchtime drink in The Bull.
- Sean visits Kate at the protest to offer support and some occasionaly work, although not the return of her job, and to seek her return to the Mid-Summer fold. He tells her of some of the things he lived through while growing up gay in a small town and this empathy for feelings bears fruit as, with his guarantee that she’ll not see Clive, she agrees to return.
- David’s annoyed at Phil for not telling him of Brian’s offer earlier – and even more annoyed that Lizzie knew. She tells him to take it in perspective – likening the situation to her relief at the cancellation of the play – although this is shattered when an ecstatic Lynda drops by with the good news!
- Sharon’s at Bridge Farm to meet John, who doesn’t know that she’s either spoken to Pat or knows of Hayley, she doesn’t let on and they arrange to meet for a drink at The Cat – John was firm that it should not be at The Bull lest they bump into the Jamie-sitting Hayley. Later, as he scoots her away after their drink, she’s definitely trying to get him to say or do things that will almost certainly incriminate later ….
