  • It’s Debbie’s birthday and the family enjoy a very enjoyable meal, quite likely the calm before the storm, Jennifer’s especially teary and Brian’s very grateful to his number two. Later Debbie tells Jennifer that her birthday present from Kate was to be asked to be the new baby’s guardian.
  • Sharon arrives at April Cottage with a sob story about being thrown out by Donna and being homeless at Christmas. John’s not having any of it and, as Kate arrives to chat, he’s throwing her out on her ear. Kate manages to change his heart and he lets Sharon and Kylie stay for Christmas although she’s very disappointed when he says that he’s not going to be there. Pat’s glad to hear that he plans to spend the day at Bridge Farm.
