• Mike’s called in sick to Brookfield citing a “family crisis”.
• Neil’s asks Phil for advice, he’s mulling over John’s offer and is concerned that the current popularity of organic meat will wain when the food scares subside. Phil’s confident that organic food has a solid future.
• David’s lumbered Bert with a nasty job which he does his best to avoid all day, eventually, in front of a confused Alistair, David threatens to let Bert’s “research” into the Quiz questions out of the bag and Bert acquieses.
• Earlier Alistair and Shula were having a stilted conversation as he was treating a horse, eventually she gets around to asking if his offer was still open and he delightedly reports that it was. Later, Shula can bearly keep in her excitement as she reports the news of her date to Ruth.
