  • Debbie’s shattered with the lambing in full swing. Both Phil and Brian are considering the future; Brian dreaming of leaving Debbie in charge, Phil concerned at Ruth and David’s plans for the herd expansion.
  • Brian’s plans for money saving receive another attack as Jennifer finds an advert in the paper for a cast iron bath she’d rather like. It’s from a local number which Phil recognises as the Grundys!
  • Kate’s packing isn’t going particularly quickly, while Jennifer’s trying her best to keep her around and wants to know if a promise to make Brian behave would make a difference – Kate’s not sure.
  • Shula’s amazed at her curious family – both Debbie and Phil wish her the best. Shula warns Debbie about the pitfalls of investing with her brother and is worried about how to tell Christine the bad news about her horse.
  • Kate’s still around and having a little troubling – she’s bleeding slightly and want her mum. Richard comes out to see her and recommends rest. The family, including Brian, rally round. He (and Kate) realise their folly and make up.
