  • Caroline takes Graham riding and, while he has the kit, he seems to have forgotten more than she gave him credit for. He’s a little nervous on Moonlight and can’t wait to get back to the stables.
  • Tony’s still on about the powers of the water company and their proposed pipe – even John reckons he should take the compensation and stop moaning.
  • Caroline tells Sid that she’s turned down Sean’s proposal and apologises for even mentioning it to him.
  • Sid’s busy poo-pooing Kathy’s return to teaching – but while she’s off re-learning he’s struggling to find cover for the bar and cooking for the restaurant.
  • It’s Roy’s birthday and he meets Hayley for a meal, arranging to meet John later, but blaming an impromptu lecture for that. When he does meet John it seems to hard to not tell him that he’d met with Hayley. John is furious and, while Roy denies any improper behaviour, promises that if anyone lays a finger on “His Hayley”, even if it were his best friend, he would kill them.
