• Tony’s unhappy at the contractors who’ve dug a trench in the dry (yes, dry) earth and covered some prime clover in dust which, unsurprisingly, the cows are refusing to eat.
• Kate’s news is spreading, as is news of Jennifer’s worries – both about the quality of care and that she might not come back again.
• Usha, who’s been very busy recently, is bemoanging the fact that Richard is not spending the time with her that she thinks he should (he’s out with his Sealed Knot crowd tonight). Ruth’s worried that this could spell doom and is trying to get David to have a word – although he’s less than enamoured by the idea! Usha’s also unhappy that Sammy has accepted Brian’s offer, that after all her effort in winning his case, Brian gets what he wanted anyway.
