Characters: Caroline, Hayley, Jack, Peggy, Roy, Sean, Tommy, Tony
- Staff morale at Grey Gables isn’t what it could be, lots of illness and lots of work means that the staff are stretched. Roy suggests to Caroline that more staff could be an answer, when she mentions the morale to Jack he suggests a staff outing, maybe a barbecue at the Bull – maybe they could ask Lynda to organise a boules tournament!
- Morale at the cricket team isn’t at its peak either, given their recent form the number of poor excuses to not turn up is causing Sean concern – any team where Eddie (no matter how keen he is) is one of the first on the sheet cannot be up to scratch.
- Tommy and Hayley are still planning to direct sell, but Tony’s unsure as to the figures, given that everyone wants chops and the popular joints, but there’s lots of the pig left after that.
- Hayley hears from Tony about Kate’s return and is the one to tell Roy. He’s all for stomping round and confronting her (and to see his daughter) but Hayley points out that this will only serve to antagonise, not placate. He vows to go round first thing in the morning and see them.
