• Tommy’s got his theory driving test this afternoon and an exasperated Hayley doesn’t rate his chances. Unlike Neil’s opinion of the direct sell idea – his suggestion is to offer mixed bags, which gets around the problem of unpopular cuts.
• Roy is far from pleased that his mum has seen Baby but he hasn’t.
• Alistair visits Shula and, while being distinctly unsure of herself, Shula says nothing about Richard but gives every indication of wanting to continue seeing Alistair. The keeping schtuum tack seems even more appropriate when Alistair reveals that his first marriage broke apart when they stopped talking and being honest and when his ex- started sleeping with his best friend ….
• Phil admits that David was right about the wheat and spends the day trying to prove he’s not past it – which is exasperating David.
• Alistair is at Brookfield looking at a cow while Shula is dropping off Daniel ahead of the two of them heading out for supper. While Alistair is freshening up, David advises Shula to not let a good bloke like Alistair slip through her fingers ….
