A brief encounter for Lilian and Paul.

Radio Times: There’s a fleeting meeting for Lilian and Paul. Meanwhile Josh pushes himself forward.

Characters: , , , ,
  • The best laid plans… Paul’s train is late so Lilian is kept hanging about at Cheltenham station and falls into the unwelcome company of another passenger. She explains that she is expecting her ‘brother’; fortunately Paul, when he arrives, is quick on the uptake.
  • Having noticed that the hens are off lay, Josh is working on a cure – a mash that he has researched on t’internet. Ruth recommends that he checks with Neil and Hayley before administering it. David is annoyed that Pip won’t do any evening lambing shifts next week. Josh volunteers to do Friday evening and some afternoons. At least grumpy David doesn’t have to go to the PC meeting this evening to hear Lynda’s tirade about badgers.
  • Paul’s late arrival has halved their time together and they seem to be spending the rest of it apologising and then arranging the next visit – probably Friday. Was it worth the trouble? At least they have a lucky break: Matt is staying out for a steak, so Lilian can have a more leisurely drive home.
