Adam returns, Alice plans her escape and Robert cannot manage on his own.

• Robert is running late installing the Aldridge’s shower; it’s all very well claiming to be more efficient working alone but this is a two-man job and Bert is working on David’s tractor. Brian is unhelpful.
• As he works at The Stables, Christopher brings news that Netherbourne have also booked Edgbaston for net practice – coincidence or loose talk? But his pre-occupation is snow-boarding; Susan will probably not be delighted that the money she spent on skiing lessons was a complete waste.
• Adam and Ian are back, although Ian is too tired to visit Home Farm. Robert gets a more hopeful response from Adam to his appeal for an extra pair of hands but he has to wait while he recounts the highlights of the holiday. Then Brian whisks Adam off to bring him up to speed; sadly Brian has had to leave some urgent jobs because he has put his back out. (It will be better by the time he goes to Germany, mark my words.)
• Looking at Adam’s photographs has set Alice thinking about her own trip to South Africa. Jennifer is beginning to worry: long distances, who is she going to travel with … Chill out, mum!
