• The first of the Millennium Wood’s trees are planted amid much ceremony, photos and Jennifer ensuring that Alice is at the centre of things.
• Brian is not best pleased that the auditors are around to check his finances and the result was, as he expected, nothing turned up and all a waste of time.
• Ruth tries to interest David in the samba but he’s more concerned with having to deal with Harry Roberts’ leaving do and the consequent increase in work on the farm. Ruth’s got an application form for the consultancy who visited them last week – there could be a job going spare.
• Marjorie’s fragility has kept her out of her car, but Hayley offers to drive her in to Borchester where she’ll have an eyetest.
• Sid and Alistair’s first executive decision is to pay Neil to look after the ground.
