Alistair confronts Shula with a hostel place for Darrell.

Radio Times: Dan is prepared to talk. Meanwhile, Edward is furious.

Characters: Alistair, Dan, Ed, Shula, William

• Ed has another problem with a cow – one has gone lame.
• Shula can’t resist a nag at Dan when he finally gets back from staying at Jamie’s and tries to make him upset about his Grandad. But Dan says he’s already talked that through with Jamie. When she suggests she invites Jamie round, he says no chance while Darrell is there.
• Later Dan does admit to Alistair that a lot of him going missing was down to Darrell. He just felt more comfortable at Jamie’s.
• Alistair tells Shula what Daniel has said and they have a row that she has done nothing to get Darrell out.
• Ed finds William on his BL pasture with the new dog and has a go at him. Alistair rings at the right moment and Ed has to leave him to see Alistair. He reinforces that it was almost certainly not a dog that caused the problem. Ed agrees but says he’s on a knife edge and can’t take the chance.
• Alistair finds out there is a place in a hostel in Felpersham for Darrell. Shula repeats that she doesn’t think it’s the right thing but Alistair insists it is Dan she should be thinking about, not Darrell.
