Brian and Mike agree
Radio Times: Brian and Mike agree
Characters: Betty, Brian, Debbie, Mike, Richard, Roy, Usha- Richard’s off to Manchester for a couple of days to talk about the new job and bumps into Usha when collecting a suit from the cottage and she tells him that whether he stays in or leaves the village is unimportant to her.
- Betty and Roy are visiting Usha to work on their statements – family support will be important to his case. As important though, Usha advises, is to not run Kate down too much, the case is about proving Roy’s suitability, rather than Kate’s irresponsibility – so leaving out references to drugs and travelling might be best.
- Brian and Debbie are marking out an area for their hush-hush seed trials, not even telling their workers about it.
- Brian has a word with Mike, suggesting that, if Roy is found to be the father, that dropping the court case might oil the wheels a little more smoothly. The bad feeling it has created might create an insurmountable obstacle. Mike buys this perspective and recomends it to Betty (who doesn’t agree). Additionally Mike seems to think that potentially losing the causal work at Home Farm to be more important.
