Brian is overworking Adam. David agrees the children should go to Heather.

Radio Times: David faces a dilemma and Brian shows his caring side.

Characters: Adam, Brian, Jennifer, Jill, Ruth

• Jill has noticed that she can’t contact Pip. Adam tells her it is probably nothing – just lost her phone. He is off to the hospital for a check up.
• Brian is trying to fix things for the unit manager for the dairy. Jennifer thinks he might be taking things for granted and is cross that time has been lost over Adam. Brian is convinced he is fine now but Jennifer isn’t convinced. But Brian is more interested in the attitude of the BL Board.
• Jill goes to visit Ruth and she tells her about the threatening phone call to Pip. Ruth says none of the local family are any good to take the children because they don’t know and can still be found. And David is still totally refusing to let them go and still wants to testify. Jill suggests Ruth’s mother but Ruth doesn’t think it’s possible.
• The student who was coming to Home Farm can’t now come because he has had an accident. Brian asks Adam to sort it out. And then an adventure place cancels a trip for the pickers so he has to sort that out. And another report for the Debbie is needed. Finally Brian asks him to stop and have a proper break for lunch.
• Jill tries to talk to David about the state Ruth is in. But David is still convinced he is right. It doesn’t stop Jill still insisting that he isn’t listening. It does make David think though and he goes to apologise to Ruth and agrees that the children should go to Heather.
