Can anyone call a child Mowgli? Will Elizabeth let sleeping Roy’s lie?
Radio Times: Loxfest welcomes its high-profile headliners, and Lynda is beside herself.
Characters: Elizabeth, Fallon, Harrison, Lilian, Lynda, Roy, The Pet Shop Boys, Wayne- Lilian and Lynda bump into Roy buying a heart shaped locket at a festival craft stall, while they are looking for a gift for their new grandson. Won’t Hayley be pleased? Of course the subject of the baby’s name crops up and eventually, it is announced as Mowgli. Roy rightly identifies it as being taken from the Jungle Book. He is called away by a message from Elizabeth leaving the grandmothers certain that the name is wrong.
- Fallon berates Wayne about his charge of “supplying”. As expected, he asks her if she could use her influence with Harrison to get matters brushed under the carpet… after all he thought Harrison was “one of us”. She is horrified and returns to her tea tent leaving him very much on his own.
- Lynda tells Lilian that Leonie has confirmed she is coming to stay. Perhaps it would be an opportunity for them both to work on a name change. Lynda spots Elizabeth entertaining Neil and Chris from the Pet Shop Boys and just has to meet them. A star struck Lynda is introduced to the band and manages to get an invitation backstage to get an autograph for her step-daughter and her very new son.
- Fallon and Harrison have a few moments to talk about Wayne’s situation. He hopes that it won’t come between the two of them. Fallon says that she will be busy over the next few days, but promises to call him. Backstage, Lynda manages to burst in on the headline act. She manages to have a T-shirt autographed by Neil and Chris for Leonie and Mowgli. They both think that it’s a wonderful name. As their set gets underway, Lilian and Lynda come to the conclusion that it might not be such a bad name after all.
- Elsewhere, Elizabeth is celebrating with a dance and is full of thanks to Roy. As no one is looking, she kisses him, only to receive his gift… a locket in the shape of a heart. She is delighted. As it is his last overnight stay at Loxley Manor, Roy invites her to share it with him, his door will remain open.
